Be sure they are sized as shown in the graphic above.

The size on the left is for the backing, if you want to cover the back in felt or paper. It is the full size of the ornament. The sizes on the right are for the inside of the front. There's a small "lip" around the ornament, the size on the right will fit inside of that.

These are specifically the Satori Arabesque tiles, 15 in a 12x12 sheet, for $5.98, from Lowes. Search for Anatolia Tile Hudson White Lantern Mosaic Wall Tile

Note - the marble version are 3x the price of the white version.

For those asking about weight, they are much lighter than the look - weighing roughly 3 ounces.

If you cannot find the tiles - you could make them from salt dough!

Tozo T6 Earbud Tap Controls

Tozo T6 Wireless Earbuds in Charging Case $39

When I bought these earbuds, my daughter joked that they were going to be too fancy for me.

I hate to admit it, but she may be right. It just took me WAY too long to google what the actual touch controls are for these, and I'm still not convinced I know what I am doing!

The Controls, As Near As I Can Figure Them Out:

Right Earbud:

Long Press - Volume Up
Short Press - Skip Forward
1 tap, pauses or resumes music
3 taps Activates Voice Service connected to my phone (Alexa, google, it will ask you to choose your service the first time.)

Left Earbud:

Long press =volume down
Short Press = Reverse
1 tap, pauses or resumes music

I came across this, for a completely different brand - so these commands may be standard for a variety of ear buds.

I have no idea what it even means. There are no buttons, so why show my these symbols with no indication of how to use these functions?

Lets start with the fact that they make a T10, but the T6 is the newer version. Why? Just why? I bought the T6, mostly because they were on sale, and they had this pretty mint green option. :-)

They work great - synced right out of the case, they charge beautifully.. but I did not realize that the case does not have to be plugged in for them to charge. The case can be charged every few days, and then it will recharge the earbuds 4 times before it needs plugged in again.

The idea is that the ear buds are returned to the case when you are not wearing them, and they automatically charge while in there. It also appears to be the only to fully turn them off. There's no tap or press I have found that turns these off. 1 tap will "pause", and another tap will resume, but I've been tossing these in an antique ashtray that I keep on a stand (where I also toss my earrings so they don't get lost when I take them out downstairs) and the buds will randomly pair to my phone and start playing without me realizing it. That's annoying, when I was using them to listen to an audiobook and now find that I am way further into the book than I knew.

Apparently, I am supposed to bring the case downstairs and place the earbuds in it each time, rather than leave the case plugged in beside my phone charger upstairs. Fancy. :-)

In one review, I read that they found the instructions in a booklet that came with the earbuds. Mine came with approximately 6 gazillion silicone covers in every size imaginable to fit every possible ear.. [ok, so maybe it was only 12. But it was a LOT of size options!] but no booklet. But lets be honest, I probably wouldn't have read the booklet anyway, I would have assumed I could just easily google the controls...

If you pause them and remove them, they should shut themselves off in 5 minutes time. I'm not sure that always happens though, as mine have randomly connected and started playing again when they should have been off.

Don't get me wrong - I love these. Waterproof, great sound, and there were plenty of options to find the right fit for my ears. But I still am not sure I know how to use any extra features - and I haven't tried taking a phone call with them yet.

After a LOT more searching, I found this manual online:
It does not even mention the voice assistance (a feature I have used several times, I know that one works) - so even the manual doesn't have all of the instructions...

This week we're learning about HTV - Heat Transfer Vinyl. When you are applying vinyl to fabric, it always needs to be HTV. Regular vinyl with rarely hold up for more than a few days on fabric.

For "Choose Your Own Adventure" section this week, there's a section of free svgs for making dish towels. These make great, quick, Christmas gifts!

Grinch Stink Stank Stunk 2020, Using Free SVGS

If you are trying to make these ornaments this year with a photo you saved from a facebook post, that is not an svg. Yes, it can be made into a cut file. But you can also just download two separate free svgs, which are scalable vector graphics already sorted into layers, add some text, and customize your own version - with a little less frustration than trying to use a jpg.

Tips & Reference:

I used 6x24 ceramic floor tiles. You can sometimes find boxes really cheap at Lowes, often a discontinued pattern, or an odd box. You can sometimes find white ones that would save you some painting too.
TIP - Paint the tiles the day before. The paint is much more likely to peel up if you do not let them dry thoroughly.
I used a variety of paints on the different tiles I made. Surprisingly, Rustoleum spray paint did NOT work well for me. But that may have been because it was too cold outside, or because I didn't let it dry long enough. Martha Stewart Chalk Paint & cheap Apple barrel craft paint both worked well. I tried modge podge over the paint, but I think that made the paint peel more, not less. The key was to make sure the tiles were room temperature when I painted them (not left in the cold garage overnight...) and then let them dry for at least a day. You could also try using Press & Seal as your transfer tape, but once I let them dry long enough, I didn't have any problems with the paint lifting.

Change For The Seasons HOME Sign

Interchangeable Vertical HOME Sign, using a ceramic floor tile and wooden tiles attached by velcro

Some later tiles... More and more, I've been using paper designs for the center, since this sign is inside, beside my craft desk.

You can find the thin wood tiles at Wal-mart, or on Amazon here. I happened to have a few of these Plaid Wood Tile Boards that I picked up at the Dollar Tree a year or so ago. I can't find them on their website, and don't know if you can still find them in any of the stores.
I used velcro on the back of the wooden tiles. I used what I already had on hand in my sewing cabinet, and attached it with hot glue - but you can buy it with adhesive already on it.

Halloween Lampshade with Cricut

I love decorating lampshades with vinyl. The vinyl is on the inside, so the design is only seen when the light is turned on.

I ungrouped the design and removed the top and bottom parts. If you are using those, make sure to flip your design. Even though you use regular (Not HTV) vinyl to make these , you reverse the design as if you were using HTV. That's because the design is applied to the inside, the sticky side will be facing out. For black vinyl, Frisco Matte is my favorite brand - and it's the cheapest I've found too!
