A quick Christmas Decoration - Vinyl inside a lampshade
I'm going to try to remember to come back and take better photos at night, when there is not so much light pouring in the windows here. :-)
Quick Tips:
- 651 vinyl (although 631 would work too!) I'm currently loving the very inexpensive Frisco brand black matte from Amazon.
- Mirror your image!
- The top text in the original design is a bugger to weed at this size - I retyped it in a different font
- I buy cheap lampshades at Dollar General for these. Go on Saturday, and use the $5 off $25 coupon!
I started with the Free SVG found here.
For this lampshade, I wanted my design to be 6 inches wide, and at that size, the top lines of text were a bugger to weed. So I retyped the text in the Thankies Font. I love that font - I downloaded it when it was free. Currently I think it is $13.
But if you missed the font, you can download the text for this as an svg here
Because the original design is one piece, if you want to change the text, create a rectangle shape and slice the top text off the design, then replace it with the new text.
Don't forget to mirror your design!
Normally you only mirror for HTV, but because this is applied to the inside of the lampshade, this needs to be mirrored.
