And then, suddenly, we 50. It really did happen so much faster than you'd think. :-) So we booked our flight.
By "we", we meant us girls. One, it's not inexpensive to do this. Two, our husbands are not fans of heights. They were VERY happy to stay on the ground, and take photos.
It was perfect for our flight shirts!
The font I used for the added text is Biosha Sans -one of my favorites, but not free.
On one of the very first successfully manned Hot Air Balloon flights, a bottle of champagne was taken along on the flight. This was in the 1780s, when a balloon with fire dropping into your field was absolutely shocking, and more than a little frightening. The champagne was given to the farmer, to help alleviate his fears, and as a peace offering for landing on any crops. The tradition of champagne after a flight continues today. After our flight, our crew fashioned souvenirs out of the cork and a bottle cap, made to look like a hot air balloon.
