A Bouncy Frog on A Lily Pad
Free SVG Below
My 3 year old grandson is currently obsessed with the frogs that live in our pond. We have to check on them at least 10 times a day. So of course, today we made a frog craft.. I have a feeling there will be a few frog crafts in our future. He has already suggested we make a puppet next.
But today's project was a bouncy frog on a lily pad. The one shown here was our rough draft, I made some adjustments to the lily pad cuts better, in the svg.
When I told him it was time to pick out the eyes for his frog (we used googly eyes of course, but there are cardstock options included) he said "Ok, but first lets check the eyes on the real frog". LOL! Striving for authenticity... or just finding another excuse to go check on the frogs once again. :-)
While grouped, resize the svg to 12.086 x 10.597
Then you can change the colors
And you can make that red tongue just a little thicker if you'd like. I used my paper trimmer to cut the tongue, not the cricut, because it was faster. About 8 inches long seems to work well. You'll roll that strip tight, then glue the end under the frogs mouth.
The white and black circles are for eyes, you won't need those if you using googly eyes.
Glue them together at right angles.
Switch to the other piece, fold it over the first piece.
Repeat over and over
Don't over think it. Just fold one side over the other.
When you get to the end, glue the ends down.
Then glue one side to the frog, and one to the lily pad.
