Today's assignment was to dust the tops of the refrigerator, cabinets, and shelves. Clean and shine the outsides of drawers and cabinets.
You can't read it in this pic, but a good indicator that I have not been wiping down the outside of the fridge often enough is the youth group snack reminder stuck there on the left. For April 10th. (We did remember to take the snack!)
While cleaning the top of the fridge, I cloroxed that blue bowl too. I love that bowl and use it really hard - it's the perfect size for making waffles for our crew, or a large salad, or mixing doughnuts.. It's pretty old, I bought it at an estate sale for $3. I'd love to find a second one some day!
Tonight at supper I took the Mary challenge and asked my family what makes them feel the most loved. My kids are all teens, and I knew this was going to be a riotous conversation
Luke (age 17) - "Your humor and your wit, the way you joke with us."
Nate (age 17) - "I love that you cook" (We ALL knew that would be his answer! LOL!)
Meg (age 14) - (her mothers child, she struggled the most with this question. So I jokingly asked "Do you feel unloved" to which she laughed and said yes! LOL! Trust me, that's not the case - she's the only girl here and VERY cherished. Her second answer was "you buy me pretty shoes". LOL!) "When we go pedicures and manicures together"
Matt (age 13) - "when you let me do exquisite and adventurous stuff, like repel from a tree in a swiss seat I made myself" (Yes, the word exquisite was just added to his vocab list for school tomorrow, I'm pretty sure he has no idea what is actually means)
